A testimonial by Dr. Yim-Yu Wong, Chair of the International Business Department, in support of honor student nomination, submitted on 9 April 2009.
"Jeff is an ideal combination of what tomorrow's global manager should be. He has excellent management and social skills in a culturally diverse environment and very strong technical background in IT. Much of his previous career success related to the global roll-outs of new technologies. His technical skills saved one of his employers approximately $100,000 operational cost. But Jeff's competencies went beyond that. Jeff demonstrated his global managerial abilities earlier in his career when he successfully guided a large global team of 14 countries together to launch and complete a huge multinational data conversion project. With that he also won the Johnson & Johnson Crown of Excellence Award of Teamwork. Jeff has worked and traveled widely in Asia. A very successful career did not stop Jeff from furthering his professional growth. Jeff went back to school at San Francisco State University. His education in international business and his overseas experiences inspire him to pursue his vision as a global strategist in the health care and energy industries, for the benefits of mankind."

Since returning to school in 2005, all the way through graduation in 2008, I've had the tremendous support of family and friends. Without their support, I wouldn't have been able to focus on learning as much as I did. My experience at the university was much richer as a result, and simply saying "thank you" doesn't come close to conveying my deep appreciation for all that they have done. So I would like to recognize the below people for the free and discounted meals, the donations to my laptop fund, the clothes, subsidies for my two trips to Vietnam, help with market research in Vietnam, and most importantly the cash !! But also for sticking by me when I would turn down invites to parties, and movies, and dinners because I had homework to do. There is not a fairweather friend among you! :)
